Bulgarian municipalities will receive a further 100 million levs ($64.9 million/51.1 million euro) from a national energy efficiency fund to implement energy-saving measures, the economy ministry said.
So far, the fund has operated on a limited budget of 10 million euro ($12.7 million), the ministry said in a statement quoting energy minister Delyan Dobrev as saying on Wednesday.
The economy and finance ministries are discussing ways to ensure more favourable conditions for financing of municipalities, including interest-free loans with a three-year grace period, the statement added.
