Bulgarian MPs Freeze Their Wages

Bulgaria's MPs decided on Wednesday to freeze their monthly wages at their 2009 level until the end of the year, the National Assembly said.

The decision, which was adopted at the proposal of the ruling centre-right party GERB, was passed with 133 MPs voting in favour and three against, as one MP abstained.

The decision enters into force retroactively, from February 1.
