Bulgarian leasing companies' claims under financial and operational leases totalled 4.31 billion levs ($2.8 billion/2.2 billion euro) at the end of 2020, up 0.4% year-on-year, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said on Monday.
Compared to the end of September, claims were relatively unchanged at the end of last year, the BNB said in a statement.
Financial lease claims totalled 4.087 billion levs at the end of 2020, up by an annual 0.3% and 0.1% lower compared to the end of September.
Operational lease claims increased by 1.3% year-on-year to 220.9 million levs at the end of 2020, and were 1.6% higher compared to the end of the third quarter.
The assets of the companies operating in Bulgaria's leasing sector totalled 5.25 billion levs at the end of 2020, up from 5.15 billion levs a year earlier.
There were 46 active leasing companies in Bulgaria at the end of 2020, two less compared to a year earlier.
