The Bulgarian Industrial Association has presented an analysis about the shape of the labor market in Bulgaria that reports about some worrying trends.
The employment coefficient during the second quarter of 2011 was 2 percentage points down on the same period in 2010, reaching 58.2 percent.
Regardless of the rising number of jobs in the public sector, the number of existing and newly created jobs was 6.2 percent down.
More than 60 percent of the employed work in sectors with low added value and low wage levels. From 45 to 53 percent of new jobs over the last 5 years have been occupied by workers with zero qualifications, a fact generating risks and problems in the long term./Source: BNR/
