Bulgarian households had higher expenses at the end of 2014 compared to the same period in 2013, while their incomes remained the same. This becomes evident from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) data on incomes and expenses of households for the last quarter of 2014, which was released on Monday. At the end of 2014 a member of a household had an average income of 1227 levs, recording no change compared to the same period in 2013. Revenues from wages constitute the largest share of incomes, followed by revenues from pensions, self-employment and social insurance and social benefits. In the last quarter of 2014 a member of a household had on average expenses amounting to 1171 levs, which represents an increase of 3.1 %, compared to the same period a year ago.
