Bulgarian Head of State Rosen Plevneliev and UNESCO Directorate – General, Irina Bokova opened the Global Women Leaders' Forum: Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders in Sofia, the press office of the head of state announced.
Global Women Leaders’ Forum brought together female leaders from business, politics, social and cultural fields.
At the Forum, participants found a platform to discuss current trends of women’s empowerment and gender equality and explore ways to support and improve the role of women in business and society.
"Gender equality is not only a basic human right but also an essential condition for creating sustainable and peaceful societies around the world." That is want President Rosen Plevneliev said at the opening of the Global Women Leaders' Forum: Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders, which took place at the National Art Gallery, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency announced.
