Bulgarian, Greek Experts Discuss Railway Link between Ports

Bulgarian and Greek experts started work on a project for a railway link between the ports of Kavala and Alexandropoulos and Varna and Burgas, the Bulgarian National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) said.

NRIC experts discussed the project with their Greek peers during a working meeting in Kavala initiated by the Greek port authorities, the company said in a press release on Tuesday.

The two countries will apply for funding for the project under the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) programme.

The next meeting on the project is scheduled for March 16.
