Bulgarian Govt To Unveil Nuclear Energy Strategy in Weeks

Bulgaria's government will make public in a few weeks a document outlining its policy in nuclear energy, energy minister Traicho Traikov said.

"We want this to happen as quickly as possible," Traikov said in an interview for private channel bTV, adding that the government is now polishing the details of the strategy.

Traikov reiterated his stand that the site allocated for a second nuclear power plant at Belene would be "great for everything" but it was only reasonable to first examine the site of the existing nuclear power plant in Kozloduy when considering building nuclear capacities.
