Bulgarian Government, President Condemn Coup Attempt in Turkey

The Bulgarian government condemned the coup attempt against Turkish President Erdogan and assured that it had put all efforts into guaranteeing the safety of all Bulgarians citizens, residing in Turkey. PM Borissov stated that only polls were the democratic way for the removal of any authority and that “violence only leads to more violence”. The premier went on to say that Foreign Minister Mitov had had a phone talk with his Turkish counterpart and also that the special services had made the contacts necessary, clarifying the situation. In his turn President Rosen Plevneliev also condemned the acts of violence in Turkey and voiced to the public his support for the institutions, elected in a democratic manner.
