The Bulgarian government adopted on Wednesday a long-delayed draft law aimed at giving impetus to production and use of renewable energy.
The draft legislation was designed in line with the EU directive that sets national targets, according to which the share of renewable energy in transport in Bulgaria should reach 10% by 2020, while the share of renewables in end energy consumption should reach 16% over the same period, the government said in a statement on its website.
The draft bill goes to parliament for approval.
