Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov is meeting his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Sochi to discuss energy matters, among other things. This transpired on Thursday from Mitov's remarks for reporters in Parliament ahead of his departure for Sochi for a meeting of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation on July 1-2.
He would not provide further details about his upcoming talks with the Russian top diplomat and said he did not want to create expectations which might not materialize.
He said that the Bulgarian position will be coordinated with Prime Minister Boyko Borissov. "I need to be briefed on the results of his talks [in Brussels] and only then my mandate will be clear," Mitov said.
