Bulgarian Foreign Minister Mitov Takes Part in Croatia Summit 2015

Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov is taking part in the Tenth Annual Croatia Forum, which is held in Dubrovnik between July 9 and 11. The main topic of this year's event, organized by Croatia's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, is "New  Development Policy - Towards Partnership and a Common Vision", Mitov's Ministry said in a press release on Friday.
Other participants in the Croatia Forum 2015 include NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic, EU Commission Vice President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic, EU International Cooperation Commissioner Neven Mimica, EU Climate Action and Energy Commissioner Miguel Arias Canete, and the foreign ministers of a large number of European, African and Asian countries, representatives of international organizations and financial institutions.
Mitov took part in Panel 2 "Different perspectives and partner coordination: Big, small and/or new donors". In his presentation, the chief Bulgarian diplomat highlighted the specific role and advantages of small donors, which are most of the countries that have acceded to the EU since 2000. He emphasized these countries' contributions to the building of a new architecture of international development cooperation, which is distinguished by innovative approaches, a variety of participants and sources of financing.
