State-owned Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) said it is seeking five banking institutions to provide financial services to the company.
Offers should be submitted by January 24, BEH said.
In a separate development, BEH registered an energy exchange operator named Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange. The company, which is fully owned by BEH, will organise trading in power products such as electricity, natural gas, coal, emissions and green certificates, it said in a filing with the Trade Register. Konstantin Konstantinov will head the company.
BEH incorporates major state-owned assets in Bulgaria's power, gas, telecommunications and coal-mining sectors.
