Bulgaria's Minister of Economy and Energy Traicho Traikov is on to the US after an official visit to Canada where he took part in the 21st World Energy Congress in Montreal.
Traikov is in the US state of Illinois Thursday through Saturday to meet local officials, business representatives, and the Bulgarian community in Chicago, which is the largest Bulgarian emigrant community in the world.
Minister Traikov will meet representatives of the Illinois Department of Trade, the Federal Bank, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
He will also meet the managers of Caterpillar, Deer and Co, ADM, Motorola and Boeing companies to discuss opportunities for trade and investments.
Minister Traikov will present the perspectives for development of the Bulgarian economy, investment opportunities in the country, as well as his government's efforts in macroeconomic stability.
