Bulgaria's September business sentiment index fell by 1.2 percentage points from August, after increasing by 2.0 percentage points in the previous month, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said on Tuesday.
In September, the construction sub-index fell by 1.4 percentage points from August, due to a more pessimistic assessment of the current business situation. Overall, managers expect no change in prices over the following three months.
In September, the retail sub-index lost 4.3 percentage points from a month earlier, as managers were more pessimistic about the business situation over the next six months. The insufficient demand and uncertain economic situation remain the main problems for the retail business.
