The Bulgarian Association of Communication Agencies (BACA) said it expects the net value of the local advertising market to increase by 3.0-4.0% in 2012.
Market growth this year will be driven by several public procurement deals, expected to have a more serious impact on the print media segment, BACA said in a statement, quoting its chairman Krasimir Gergov.
There is also the upcoming European Football Championship, which should lead to advertising investments of some 1.0 million levs ($673,400/511,000 euro), Gergov added.
Last year, the net value of the local advertising market was 309 million levs, the statement said. Online advertising was the only segment which posted a net increase in 2011, rising by 11% on the year.
