Bulgaria will sign a contract with Westinghouse Company for the supply of nuclear fuel, announced in President Premier Boyko Borissov.
He informed he had talked with Westinghouse representative supplying fuel for Ukraine. Later today the government will sign with them a contract similar to that with Areva. In the coming years not only the storage but the supplies of nuclear fuel would be diversified, too, Borissov added.
He reminded that a week ago the Kozloduy NPP launched for exploitation a repository for used nuclear fuel for the next 50 years. In the Prime Minister's words the European Commission will take an active part in all negotiations with Russia on the South Stream gas pipeline. (Source: BNR)
