Bulgaria Turns to 8-mo Cons Budget Gap of 109 Mln Euro

Bulgaria posted a consolidated budget deficit of 212.7 million levs ($147.6 million/108.8 million euro) through August compared to a surplus of 107.6 million levs in the same period of 2012, finance ministry figures indicated.
Revenue in the eight-month period stood at 18.996 billion levs, while spending amounted to 18.534 billion levs. Contribution to EU budget came in at 674.7 million levs.
Bulgaria closed last year with a budget deficit of 350.2 million levs, equivalent to 0.45% of the country's projected gross domestic product.
