Traffic at all checkpoints on the Bulgarian-Turkish border will be halted for seven hours at 11 p.m. on Tuesday due to a change of the customs and information system at Turkish checkpoints.
Absolutely no vehicles will be allowed to pass through all three crossing points - Kapitan Andreevo - Kapikule, Lesovo - Hamzabeyli, Malko Tarnovo - Derekoy between 11 p.m. on Tuesday and 6 a.m.on Wednesday, the Sofia News Agency (Novinite.com) reported quoting the Bulgarian border authorities.
Huge lines have already formed on the Kapitan Andreevo - Kapikule checkpoint due to an ongoing upgrade of the checkpoint on Bulgarian side and repairs on the road to the border, causing daily losses of hundreds of euro per truck for the business, Capital Daily reported on Tuesday.
