The freight unit of the Bulgarian state railways company BDZ, BDZ Tovarni Prevozi, will be privatised by the middle of 2012.
The legal due diligence and company evaluation are to be completed by January 19, local Capital Daily reported, quoting the head of Bulgaria's privatisation agency, Emil Karanikolov.
The privatisation agency is yet to determine the method by which the company will be sold.
For the time being, BDZ's passengers division will not be put up for sale.
