Bulgaria to reopen restaurants as of March 1

Bulgaria's prime minister Boyko Borissov said that the country will reopen restaurants on March 1, after closing them in November 2020 in an attempt to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Bulgaria is currently 26th in Europe in terms of the COVID-19 morbidity rate, Borissov said in a statement on Sunday.

On Monday, Bulgaria's health ministry reported 163 new COVID-19 cases. The total number of confirmed infections in the country is 229,679, of which 23,135 still active.
