Bulgaria will receive a 400 million lev ($269.7 million/204.8 million euro) grant from the European Union to finance the construction of a key motorway, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said on Tuesday.
The European Commission has approved the application form for the Trakia motorway, which effectively means Bulgaria will get a a 400 million lev grant, the government's press office quoted Borisov as saying in Beirut. The Bulgarian premier is paying a three-day official visit to Lebanion.
The Bulgarian government is co-financing the remaining 20% of the 500 million lev project with money from the state budget, he added.
