Bulgaria to extend state of epidemic emergency until end-July

Bulgarian health minister Kiril Ananiev said that the state of epidemic emergency introduced over the coronavirus pandemic will be extended by two weeks until the end of July.

The extension of the state of epidemic emergency will allow the health minister to adopt temporary measures to contain the spread of the virus, Kiril Ananiev said as heard in a video file posted on the website of public radio BNR.

By Monday, the number of confirmed cases in the country totalled 5,740, including 2,915 recoveries and 246 deaths associated with the disease.
