State-owned company Strategic Infrastructure Projects intends to open a tender for the design and construction of a stretch of the Struma motorway, a notice in the EU’s procurement journal indicated.
The indicative value of the deal for the 21.6 kilometre (km) Lot 3.2, including a 15 km tunnel, is 1.1 billion levs ($762.2 million/562.4 million euro), exclusive of value added tax, the notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) showed. The award procedures are scheduled to start on November 17.
The construction of the Struma motorway, with a total length of 173.28 km, is divided into four sections. Lot 1 was completed in the summer of 2013 with Lot 4 under construction. Lot 2 is in the final design stage.
Strategic Infrastructure Projects also intends to open a tender for the design and construction of a stretch from Lot 3 of the Struma motorway.
The indicative value of the deal for the 12 kilometre stretch is 150 million levs ($103.9 million/76.7 million euro), exclusive of value added tax. Award procedures are scheduled to start on July 1.
