Bulgaria to Build Two E-79 sections Worth 646 Mln Euro in 2014-2020

Bulgaria will build two sections worth a total 646 million euro ($883 million) of European route E-79 connecting Hungary and Greece in 2014-2020, the country's regional development minister said.
Bulgaria is applying for EU funding for the 146 million euro Mezdra-Botevgrad section, and has signed a grant agreement for the 500 million euro section connecting the cities of Vidin with Montana, Desislava Terzieva said in parliament, as quoted by news agency Focus.
Also part of the E-79 route is the Struma highway running from Sofia to the Greek border.
