Bulgaria will seek to raise 300 million levs ($181.3 million/153.4 million euro) by reopening а ten-and-a half-year Treasury bond issue due in August 2031 at an auction on September 20, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said.
The bonds carry an annual coupon of 0.10%, the central bank said in a statement on Tuesday.
Bulgaria rejected all bids submitted in the previous auction of 200 million levs worth of T-bonds, which was held in March.
Bulgaria's jobless rate falls to record low 4.9% in Aug - Employment Agency
Bulgaria's registered unemployment rate fell to a fresh record low of 4.9% in August, from 5.0% in the previous month, the Employment Agency said on Wednesday.
On an annual comparison basis, the jobless rate fell by 2.6 percentage points, from 7.5% in August 2020, the government agency said in a statement.
A total of 15,422 unemployed people found a job with the help of labour offices in the month under review, while 19,522 people registered as unemployed.
In August, there were 160,707 registered unemployed people, 4,427 less compared to July 2021 and 34.6% less than in August 2020.
There were 16,276 job vacancies registered with labour offices in August, 3.7% more on a monthly comparison basis and 9.8% fewer year-on-year.
Bulgaria's annual inflation speeds up to 3.7% in August
Bulgaria's consumer prices went up 3.7% on the year in August, following a 3% increase in July, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Wednesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices rose 0.8% in August, at the same pace as in the previous month, NSI said in a monthly inflation report.
The highest annual price rise, of 15.3%, was registered in the transport sector, which has the third-highest weight in the consumer basket.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the largest weight in the consumer basket, added 3.6% year-on-year. The sub-index tracking the other major category - housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, increased by 5.0% on the year.
Bulgaria’s EU-harmonised consumer price index (HICP) rose by 2.5% on an annual comparison basis in August and was 0.7% higher compared to its July level.
