Bulgaria Starts Year with Positive Balance of Payments

Bulgaria’s balance of payments in January 2016 was positive, with a surplus of 271.7 million euros (or 0.6 percent of projected GDP) in comparison to a deficit of 98.9 million euros (0.2 percent of GDP) in January 2015, The Bulgarian National Bank has reported. The trade balance of this country at the beginning of the year is also positive and reached 66.7 million euros in comparison to a deficit of 124.7 million euros in January 2015, figures show.
