Bulgaria is opening a procedure to award two 35-year concession contracts for the Ruse-centre port terminal, the government said.
The concessionaire of the terminal, located on the Danube river, will be required to invest over 766,000 levs ($514,000/392,000 euro) in the first six years of the contract's term and at least 1.65 million levs by the end of the term, the government said in a statement issued after a regular weekly meeting on Wednesday.
By awarding the concession contract, the government aims to attract investments, increase the tourist traffic, improve the quality and safety of the offered services, increase budget revenues, etc.
