Bulgaria Secures 40% of its EU Funds for 2014-2020

Forty percent of the funds that Bulgaria is going to receive from the EU under operative programs over the 2014-2020 programming period has already been agreed.
The information comes from the National System for Management and Monitoring of EU Funds.
By 2020, the total budget of the EU operative programs is 17.712 billion levs. Of these, slightly over 15 billion levs is going to come from the EU and the rest 2.639 billion levs is national co-financing.
By April 21st, Bulgaria managed to secure 40% of the money from the EU operative programs, or over 7.13 billion levs.
Successfully-implemented projects under the operative programs of the EU have already drawn over 1.566 levs to the Bulgarian economy, which makes 8.85% of their total budget.
Since the beginning of 2017, Bulgaria has received over 1.5 billion levs from the EU, or ten percent of the allocated money for the programing period.
