Bulgaria's TPP Maritsa Iztok 2 opens 4.9 mln euro tender for equipment upgrade

Bulgaria's state-owned coal-fired thermal power plant (TPP) Maritsa Iztok 2 said on Friday that it has opened a 9.5 million levs ($5.4 million/4.9 million euro) tender for the reconstruction of the dust preparation system of its unit 9.Candidates in the public procurement procedure should prove that they have carried out works under contracts with similar scope in the last three years, the TPP said in a tender notice. The deadline for submitting offers is December 3. Selected candidates are expected to be invited to submit offers of December 16.TPP Maritsa Iztok 2 has eight operating units with a total installed capacity of 1,620 MW.
