Bulgaria's September jobless rate fell to 9.03% from 9.14% in August, official data showed on Wednesday.
In September 2009, the unemployment rate in the country was 8.03%.
"In September the unemployment rate continues to fall for a seventh consecutive month," the government's Employment Agency said in a statement.
The increase comes as a result of a rise in the number of unemployed people who found a job thanks to successful intermediation and new jobs created in the education sector following the start of the new school year, the statement added.
