Bulgaria’s gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 1.1% on the year in the three months through March and edged up 0.2% on the quarter, indicated a flash estimate released by the country's statistics office, NSI. The first-quarter GDP totaled 15.92 billion levs ($11.1 billion/8.1 billion euro) at current prices, NSI said in a statement. Gross value added at current prices amounted to 13.6 billion levs in the January-March period. The services sector has the largest share of 64.5% in total value added, followed by industrial sector, 32.6%, and agricultural sector 2.9%.
