The Bulgarian municipalities of Plovdiv and Dospat will build solid waste treatment plants worth a total of 18.7 million levs ($11.2 million/9.6 million euro), the environment ministry said on Monday.Both projects will benefit from EU financing under operational programme Environment 2014-2020, the ministry said in a statement.The project for a solid waste treatment plant in Plovdiv, with an estimated value of 9.0 million levs, will benefit from 6.0 million levs of EU financing.Works should be completed within 19 months. The project includes both a waste pre-treatment installation and a composting facility.The composting facility in Dospat is expected to be completed within two years. The project's total estimated value is 9.7 million levs, of which 7.3 million levs will come from operational programme Environment.(1 euro = 1.95583 levs)
