Bulgaria's Phoenix Pharma Signs 3.9 Mln Euro Deal with Military Medical Academy

Bulgaria's Military Medical Academy said that it has signed a 7.7 million levs ($4.5 million/3.9 million euro) deal with local drug trader Phoenix Pharma, part of Germany's Phoenix Group, for supply of pharmaceuticals for the needs of the medical complex. The deal was signed on November 29, Military Medical Academy said in a notice on Wednesday. Phoenix Pharma submitted the only offer in the public procurement procedure for awarding the contract. Besides wholesale, Phoenix Pharma's activities also include pre-wholesale, as well as development of pharmacy software. The company has four distribution centres in Bulgaria - in the cities of Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas and Veliko Tarnovo. Phoenix Pharma has a registered capital of 35.6 million levs, according to data from the country's commercial register.
