Bulgaria's October producer prices fell by 1.5% month-on-month after rising by the same percentage in September, the National Statistics Institute said.
Producer prices in the mining and quarrying industry registered a 5.0% decrease, while those in manufacturing went down 2.1%. In the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sectors the prices grew by 1.4%.
On an annual basis, producer prices in October were 7.3% higher, following an annual rise by 8.5% in September. In manufacturing, prices rose by 8.4% compared to October 2010. A significant increase in price levels was registered in food production - by 9.4%, in repair and installation of machinery - by 9.0%, and in the textile industry - by 7.5%.
Producer prices on the domestic market fell by 0.1% on the month in October, but went up by 6.5% compared to the same month last year.
