Bulgaria's October industrial output inched up by a provisional 0.4% month-on-month after rising by a revised 1.0% month-on-month in September, data of the National Statistics Institute (NSI) indicated on Wednesday.
The seasonally-adjusted industrial production index in the mining and quarrying industry rose by 9.4% on the month, in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it was up by 7.3%, while in manufacturing it inched down by 0.1%. The most significant decrease in the manufacturing sector was registered in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment, a drop of 24.6%.
Year-on-year, October industrial output was 2.4% higher, following an annual increase by 1.4% in September.
The industrial production index in the mining and quarrying industry grew by an annual 13.0%, in the manufacturing rose by 2.5%, while in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply decreased by 1.8%.
