Bulgaria's competition regulator said it has received a complaint from local company Next Invest which is seeking the suspension of a 145 million euro ($168.4 million) tender for the design, procurement and construction of the Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria.The complaint was filed on Friday, data from the competition regulator's website shows.The complaint concerns a decision by ICGB, the project company developing the Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria, issued on June 8.In its decision, ICGB refuses to amend selection criteria for subcontracts, as it was asked to do in an enquiry by a candidate interested in participating in the tender, the document posted on ICGB's website shows."There are no grounds to change the requirements of the Documentation for public procurement as they are in full compliance with the legal requirements," ICGB's decision reads.The IGB pipeline will connect the Greek gas transmission system in the area of Komotini to the Bulgarian gas transmission system in the area of Stara Zagora.The planned length of the pipeline is 182 km and the projected capacity will be up to 3 billion cu m per year in the direction from Greece to Bulgaria.
