Bulgaria's Nesebar municipality, on the Black Sea coast, said it has opened a 7.3 million levs ($4.2 million/3.7 million euro) tender for the reconstruction and modernisation of a fishing port. The project is funded from the EU's Maritime and Fisheries Programme 2014-2020, the municipality said in a notice on Thursday. The project, which is divided into two stages, envisages the construction of a breakwater with a seasonal wharf for fishing boats along with the reconstruction of the existing fishing port. The project also includes additional works such as upgrade of the pavement as well as supply and fitting of port equipment. Bids in the tender will be ranked according to price which has 40% weight in the overall score, the duration of construction works and the period for removal of potential defects both carry weight of 30%.
