Bulgarian state-owned lignite coal mining company Mini Maritsa Iztok said on Wednesday that it has signed a 9.9 million levs ($6.0 million/5.1 million euro) mineral diesel fuel supply deal with local company Saksa.The deal was signed on May 31, Mini Maritsa Iztok said in a notice.Saksa was the only company which submitted an offer in the public procurement procedure for awarding the contract.Mini Maritsa Iztok's coal mines in southern Bulgaria sell their output mainly to three thermal power plants located nearby, two of them owned by ContourGlobal and AES, respectively, and one state-owned. The two power plants owned by ContourGlobal and AES generate around 30% of Bulgaria's electricity output.Fuel distributor Saksa is based in Dolna Banya, near Sofia. The company’s partners include OMV Bulgaria, ECO Bulgaria, Shell Bulgaria and Naftex Petrol.(1 euro=1.95583 levs)
