Bulgaria’s May Industrial Output Edges up 0.9 Y/Y, Sales Rise 8.9% Y/Y

Bulgaria's May industrial output edged up by 0.9% on the year, while industrial sales rose by an annual 8.9%, data of the statistics office indicated.

Month-on-month the industrial output was also 0.9% higher in May and the industrial sales increased by 5.6%, data of the National Statistics Institute (NSI) indicated. The figures are seasonally-adjusted.

In April, industrial output increased by a revised 2.1% on the month and edged up 0.5% year-on-year, while industrial sales fell by a revised 3.7% from the previous month and were up by 2.3% from April last year.

In May, the mining sector posted the highest monthly increase in industrial output, up by 2.6%, while in terms of sales volume the manufacturing sector generated the biggest monthly raise, up by 7.9%.
