Bulgaria's EU-harmonised consumer prices rose by 1.7% on the year and were 0.1% higher month-on-month in March, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said.
In February the consumer price index (CPI) increased by a monthly 0.6% and by an annual 2.0%.
The average annual CPI in the last 12 months rose by 2.7%, data from the NSI showed.
In March, the price index of Bulgaria's small basket which tracks the average prices of 100 goods and services, inched up 0.5% on the month.
Bulgaria's non-EU harmonised monthly CPI rose by 0.3% on the month and by 1.7% on the year in March. In February it was 0.9% higher than a month earlier and 2.0% up on an annual basis.
