Bulgaria's June industrial output fell by a provisional 0.8% month-on-month after edging up by a revised 0.4% in May, while industrial sales fell by a monthly 4.3% following a revised 5.6% increase in the previous month, data of the statistics office indicated.
Year-on-year June industrial output and sales were 1.5% and 1.1% higher, respectively, while a month earlier the output rose by 0.4% on the year and sales were 8.9% higher, data of the National Statistics Institute (NSI) indicated on Monday.
The most significant monthly decrease in June industrial output, by 2.7%, was registered in the utilities sector. In sales the drop as largely due to manufacturing, which shrank by 5.8% on the month.
