Bulgaria's EU-harmonised consumer prices rose by 1.6% on the year but were 0.5% lower month-on-month in June, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said.
In May the consumer price index (CPI) edged down by a monthly 0.1% and was 1.8% higher on the year.
The price index of the small basket in June fell 1.4% on the month while the overall increase since the beginning of the year stood at 0.1%, NSI said in a statement on Thursday.
The inflation rate since the beginning of the year stood at 0.7% in June.
Bulgaria's non-EU harmonised monthly CPI fell by 1.0% on the month and was 1.6% higher on the year in June. In May it was 0.1% lower than a month earlier and 1.7% up on an annual basis.
