Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP) rose by a quarterly 0.7% in July-September after a 0.5% increase in April-June, the statistics office said in a seasonally-adjusted preliminary estimate on Thursday.
The country's economy expanded by 0.5% year-on-year in the third quarter, after falling by an annual 0.3% in the second quarter, the National Statistics Office (NSI) said in a statement.
Also on Thursday, Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria said in its monthly economic analysis that the positive development of the economy in the third quarter was mainly driven by the external market, while the internal demand continued to shrink.
