Bulgaria's inflation accelerated in July, fuelled by higher food prices and a double-digit rise in electricity, data from the National Statistics Institute (NSI) indicated.
EU-harmonised consumer prices rose by 2.4% on the year and were 1.1% higher month-on-month in July, NSI data released on Monday showed.
Non-EU harmonised monthly CPI rose by 1.5% on the month and was 3.1% higher on the year in July. In June it was 1.0% lower than a month earlier and 1.6% up on an annual basis.
In June the consumer price index (CPI) edged down by a monthly 0.5% and was 1.6% higher on the year.
