Bulgaria’s unemployment rate fell to 11.8% in April, 0.4% lower than a month earlier, the country’s Employment Agency said.
A total of 386,625 unemployed were registered with the agency’s offices at the end of last month, down by 12,233 compared to the previous month and up by 6,140 compared to April 2013, the agency said in a statement.
The number of people who found a job in April totalled 30,312, which is 7,771 more than a month earlier and 2,216 less than in April 2013.
Bulgaria, which joined the European Union in 2007, has a population of 7.3 million.
