Bulgaria’s unemployment rate fell to 11.2% in May, down by 0.6 percentage points from a month earlier, the country’s Employment Agency said on Wednesday.
A total of 367,499 unemployed were registered with the agency’s offices at the end of last month, down by 19,126 compared to the previous month, the agency said in a statement.
The number of people who found a job in May totalled 19,571, which is 1,418 more than a month earlier. Bulgaria, which joined the European Union in 2007, has a population of 7.3 million.
