Bulgaria's Jobless Rate Edges Down to 11.6% in April

Bulgaria's April jobless rate edged down by 0.2 percentage points from the previous month to 11.6%, the country's Employment Agency said.

A total of 380,485 unemployed were registered with the agency's offices at the end of last month, down by 8,038 from March, the government agency said in a statement.

The number of people who found a job in April totalled 32,528, up by 11,595 from a month earlier, while job vacancies amounted to 16,790 last month, up by 354 compared with March.

In April, the biggest number of job vacancies - 3,317, was reported in the manufacturing sector. Hotels and restaurants followed with 3,254.
