Bulgaria’s Jobless Rate Edges down to 10.8% in June

Bulgaria's June jobless rate edged down by 0.2 percentage points on the month to 10.8%, the government's Employment Agency said.

A total of 354,825 unemployed were registered with unemployment offices at the end of June, down by 5,289 people from the previous month, the agency said in a statement on Friday.

The number of people who found a job last month totalled 21,577, up by 2,138 from a year earlier. Job vacancies amounted to 12,782 last month, up by 1,051 from June 2011.

In June, the biggest number of job vacancies was reported in the manufacturing sector at 3,509. The trade sector followed with 2,156.
