Bulgaria's unemployment rate fell by one percentage point in quarterly terms to 10.2 per cent in July-September 2011, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on November 21 2011.The country's unemployment was 0.7 percentage points higher than the rate recorded in the third quarter of 2010.The number of jobless people registered by labour offices reached 343 000 in July-September.People with an employment history of more than 15 years dropped by 85 900 to three million, or 46.6 per cent of Bulgarians aged 15 or over.As much as 73.2 per cent of employed Bulgarians were engaged in the private sector, while the rest was in the public sector.The highest number of workers, 61 per cent, was in the services sector, a further 31.7 per cent were in manufacturing and 7.2 per cent worked in the agriculture sector.More than 60 per cent of employed had secondary level of education, 27 per cent were university graduates, while 11.6 per cent had primary or lower level of education.
